Story of Snowman and Sunshine Girl is a euro-trance style song created by Digital Explosion. It was first released on mp3.com[2], then on stayaround.com[3] and is inspired by a true story. Located in the Legacy Genre, it is a 16 in difficulty on the 1-99 scale and a 5 (Easy) in difficulty on the 1-20 scale.

The song and chart was submitted to FFR by Synthlight and was released to public for playing on October 23rd, 2002 as part of the first batch of songs ever to be uploaded to Flash Flash Revolution. It contains a unique 'Get Ready' screen which is present in a few Legacy songs, as well as a green square animated background gimmick. It also contains blue note syndrome, as with all Legacy files, and grace notes due to early conversions.

A 2nd version was made and submitted to FFR by Silver_Brian and was released to public for playing on July 20th, 2007. It is a 26 in difficulty on the 1-99 scale and a 7 (Moderate) in difficulty on the 1-20 scale.

Story of Snowman and Sunshine Girl v2 is unlocked by hitting every note in the first version of the song without obtaining a boo, and is the 52nd Skill Token to be released to FFR.

Tips & Tricks to Tackling[]

This section may contain some terminology for discussion patterns. Try visiting the FFR Terminology page for help on reading this section.

Story of Snowman and Sunshine Girl is one of the most off-beat song in the entire game. Patterns that were made to be quite simple for its time and era turned so terrible, that it warranted a 2nd release of the song 5 years later as a skill token. The key to winning this song over is nerves of steel and a ton of patience.

By far the hardest part of the song to overcome is the incredibly out of sync long jacks area of the song, that requires to hit one button really fast, at an inconsistent rate. The inconsistency does not match up to the music, and there are 2 sections like this. One near the beginning, and one at the end.

Another issue prevalent in the song is the use of grace notes from early conversions, since people were not allowed to put 2 notes under the same timing. This can lead to some tricky one handed trills that were not meant to be.

As for the 2nd version that was released some time later, it does contain more notes and a couple of faster sections throughout the song, but many widely consider it easier than its counterpart due to it not being ridiculously off-sync. The most you will find is some 8th melodies with jumps, and some fast 16th bursts.
